He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd VanGilder and Estella Davis-VanGilder-Highley (Davis); his daughter Deborah VanGilder-Danforth; his siblings, Paul VanGilder (Buddy), Christina Coakley and Marie Cunningham; his children, Rick VanGilder of Holden and Mary Becker (Kim) of Holden; his grandchildren, Michelle Mickelberry, Nathan Yoder, Steve Danforth, Lucas Yoder, Shana VanGilder, Laura Akins, Heather Lewless and Nicole Becker; and his great great grandchild Many.
He is survived by: his wife Sylvia Hutchings.
In Lieu of Flowers the family suggests memorials to the Rose Hill Cemetery.
