He was predeceased by: his parents, Otis Allen and Ella Sylvia Rea (Urton); his wife Norma Louise Akins of Garden City, Missouri.; and his siblings, Leroy, Joe, Arnold Lee and Effie.
He is survived by: his children, Gary Allen Rea (Carol) and Vickie Lynne Mellott (Rea); his grandchildren, Scott Rea, Crissy "Rea" Gilvin (Mike), Stephen King (Kattie), Connie Dutton (Bill) and Rick Mellott (Kara); his great grandchildren, Mikalah Rea, Grady Gilvin, Symphony King, Jax King (Katy), Anda Entz (Danny), Eric Dutton (Clarissa) and Chance Mellott; his great great grandchildren, Benton, Case Entz, Alexa and Thomas Dutton; and his brother Ready Mix.
