He was predeceased by: his parents, James Henry and Lula Lee Courtney (Price); his spouse Lavinna May Walker; and his siblings, Junior Courtney and Crystal Irene Ray.
He is survived by: his children, Ed Courtney (Dena) of Galt and Cynthia Street (Luther) of Galt; his sisters, Janet Ward of Raymore, MO and Louise McBride of Raymore, MO; and his grandchildren, Jim Street (Kim), Rachel Doughty (Brad), Brian Courtney and Zach Courtney (Maggie).
Viewing was held on Sunday, November 17th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Slater Neal Funeral Home of Trenton (813 Custer St, Trenton, MO 64683). Visitation will be held on Monday, November 18th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Rural Dale Baptist Church (618 NE Beryl Ln, Trenton, MO 64683). A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 18th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
Memorial donations are suggested to Rural Dale Baptist Church for the Shoe Boxes program and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home.
