He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Smith and Lucinda Smith (Emery); his daughter Rebecca Beason; and his siblings, Kenny Smith, Paul Smith, Donnie Smith, Junior Smith, Doyle Smith and Nola Bradford.
He is survived by: his spouse Lavena Gardner; his sons, Scott Smith, Terry Smith (Karin) and Tim Smith (Brenda); and his sister Marcia Nye (Jim). He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and other extended family.
