He was predeceased by: his parents, Leland Atkisson and June Atkisson (Lollar); his wife Lois Atkisson; and his brother Drexel Atkisson. He is survived by: his sister-in-law Pat Atkisson; his nephew Drexel Atkisson Jr.; and his nieces, Teresa Mills and Cynthia Freese.
