He was predeceased by: his parents, Perry Cowart and Ruby Cowart; and his brother Walter Cowart. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Turner; his daughter Mitzi Frye (Cameron) of Gainesville; his granddaughters, Ashley Hallmark of Pickens, Hannah Palmer (Josh) of Thomasville and Brittany Frye of West Plains, Missouri.; and his great grandchildren, Logan and Hagan Palmer.
