With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Laura Rohlfs of Gainesville, Missouri, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on February 22, 2023 at the age of 76. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Laura Rohlfs to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Shimkus and Leatrice June Shimkus (Cady); and her son Michael Montes Jr.. She is survived by: her husband Steve; her daughter Annette Montes; her grandchildren, Nicole Jackson, Kevin Jackson, Michelle Jackson, Mikaela Szekely, Rachel Kearley and Hannah Hughes; and her siblings, Elaine Eaton, Michael Shimkus, Jim Shimkus (Colleen) and Ruth Kelley (Bob). She is also survived by her 10 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
