It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gene Loftis of Gainesville, Missouri, born in Theodosia, Missouri, who passed away on July 31, 2022, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Clifford Loftis and Ola Loftis (Johnson); his wife Frances Loftis (Walrath); his children, Summer Loftis Luna (Tommy Pettit) of Isabella, MO, James Tabor (Susan) of Gainesville and Hazel Boyer (Mel) of Gassville, AR; his grandchildren, Kandace Newton of Dora, MO, Deric Luna of Gainesville, MO, Lucas Luna of Gainesville, David Connel of Gainesville, Nick Stephens of Mtn Home, AR, Alex Slowtalker of Springfield, MO, Allison Slowtalker of Springfield, MO, Toby Hudson of Gainesville, Devon Tabor of Gainesville, Tyler Tabor of Gilroy, CA and Logan Hudson of Gainesville; his great grandchildren, Shelby Smith, Conner Pierce, Jackson Smith, Brier Smith, Tyson Tabor and Lakelynn Hudson; his siblings, Paul Loftis (Peggy) of Gainesville and Bonnie Sisney of Gainesville; his children, Brian Loftis and Angie Loftis Newton of Gainesville; his son-in-law Kevin Newton; his siblings, Elza Loftis and Shirley Sims; and his granddaughter Dusty Pierce.
