He was predeceased by: his parents, Elliot Melvin Atterberry and Margaret Atterberry (Martin); his wife Marjorie Helen Atterberry (Overkamp); his brothers, Melvin Martin and Frank Carson; and his sister-in-law Joyce Atterberry.
He is survived by: his children, Robert Earl Atterberry (Mary) of Fulton, William Vernon Atterberry (Dottie McDermit) of Calwood and Helen Jeanette Atterberry of Fulton; his siblings, Harvey Joe Atterberry of Calwood1, Alda "Amanda" Jones of New Bloomfield, Mary Francis Briscoe (Jack) of Sturgeon, Wanda Fay Beard of Michigan, Martha Margaret Wyman (Danny) of Fulton, Mona Scott (Stanley) of Jefferson City and Ruby Jeanette Cregar of Montgomery City; and his grandchildren, Kadie Elizabeth Cela (Nathaniel), Isaiah Matthew Williams, Irene Evelyn Daly and Angela Jo McDermit.
