It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thomas Jefferson Cooper Sr. of Fulton, Missouri, who passed away on September 16, 2023, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his son Thomas J. Cooper, Jr.; his parents, Roy Cooper, and Louise Cooper, Sr.; and his siblings, Chelcy Cooper, Walter Cooper, John'Hanky'Cooper, Melvin'Fess'Cooper, Charles'Chuck'Cooper, Roy'Dusty'Cooper, Jr., William'Tee'Cooper, Joel'Billy'Cooper and Juel Cooper-Rush.

He is survived by: his children, Roy, Louise Cooper and Ridge; his wife Sharlyn; his children, Shellie Cooper-Lee, Keith Cooper and Shayla Cooper; his grandchildren, Micah Lee, Joshalyn Lee, Joshua Lee, Ethan Lee, Jasmine Cooper, Zachery Cooper, Zoey Cooper, Zaya Cooper and Naya Cooper; and his brothers, Madieth'Mike'Cooper and Alex Cooper. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers all donations will be split between two scholarships that were special to Thomas; Thomas J. and Sharlyn Cooper Medical Student Scholarship Fund and SEMO Scholarship Fund, please make checks payable to Maupin Funeral Home, 301 Douglas Blvd., Fulton, MO 65251.

“Just loved “Doc” Cooper. Told my son, this man has the milk of human kindness coursing through his veins. Met him on the walking tail by the creek. Walked it this morning remembering our meeting there and appreciating his friendship. We had many lengthy heartwarming conversations.
