She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert "Buss" Hoffman and Louise Hoffman (Wallace) of Virginia; her husband Albert Backer; her brothers, Charles Robert and Joe Wallace Hoffman; and her great grandchild Aiden Tyler Fulghum.

She is survived by: her children, Donna Roewe (Duane) of Fulton and Dwayne Backer (Darla) of Mokane; her grandchildren, Cody Roewe (Abby) of Creve Coeur, Dr. Lindsey Backer-Fulghum (Harry) of Wichita, KS, Brice Roewe (Lauren) of Springfield and Landen Backer (Caitlyn) of Mokane; and her great grandchildren, Gideon, Araya Roewe and Asher Fulghum.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep or Hams Prairie Christian Church Youth Programs, c/o Maupin Funeral Home, 301 Douglas Boulevard, Fulton, MO 65251.
