He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugo Grotewiel and Sibyl Grotewiel (McCeerey); his daughter Sharon Hume; and his brother Jim Grotewiel. He is survived by: his wife Berniece Grotewiel (Stafford); his daughter Kenda Shindler (Mike); his son-in-law Loran Hume; his grandchildren, Tiffany Cox (Clint), Lauren Nelson (Tyler) and Morgan Baumhoer (Matt); and his great grandchildren, Libby, Elliot, Shay and Hudson.
