He was predeceased by: his parents, Jackie W. Gahr and Dorothy J. Gahr (Strub); his siblings, Michael Gahr, Rosemary Gahr-Wielms and Tracy Gahr-Smith; and his niece Jacquelyn Hunt-Grosfield.
He is survived by: his siblings, Deborah (Jack Dicus) of Bourbon, Missouri, Christine Shaw (Steve Jackson) of Spanish Lake, Missouri, Paul (Fey Gahr) of Downingtown, Pennsylvania and Carol Barillier of St. Charles, Missouri; his aunt Roma Strub of O'Fallon, Missouri; and his siblings-in-law, Mary Gahr of Ballwin, Missouri and Russell Smith of Dill City, Oklahoma. He is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and friends.
