She was predeceased by: her husband Billy Moore; her parents, Robert Bierer and Fern Bierer; and her son John Scott. She is survived by: her children, Robert Scott (Tracy) and Sheri Shiverdecker (Eddie); her stepson Richard Moore (Christy); her grandchildren, Porcha Perlow, Julie Ricks (Tyler), Matthew Scott, Jennifer Scott (Chris) and Daniil Scott; her stepgrandchildren, Alyssa Moore and Charles Moore; her brother Robert Bierer (Lila Shepley); and her daughter-in-law Deborah Sanford-Scott. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Gayle's name to the Callaway County Humane Society or Relay for Life.
