He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Lee Bernicky and Joan Tate (Ridgeway); his sisters, Peggy Bernicky and Erlene "Posey" Mascheri; and his stepfather Edward Smith Tate.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Bernicky (Pitt); his children, Craig Bernicky of Calwood and Lori Bernicky (J. B. Winingear) of Calwood; his siblings, Debbie Tate (Terry) of Fulton and Robert Bernicky of Williamsburg; his stepsister Candice Salmons (Charlie); his grandchildren, Katie Bernicky, Haley Bernicky, Brady Bernicky and Scott Winingear; and his pet Stella Marie. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins.
