He was predeceased by: his parents, Ben H. Struttmann and Frances Struttmann (Bartley); his son John Struttmann; his stepson David Flowers; and his grandson Ben Struttmann.
He is survived by: his wife Hazel Struttmann (Schutt) of Fulton, Missouri; his children, Deborah Thomas (Rusty) of St. Louis, Missouri, Robyn Antonaccio (Jeff) of Tampa, Florida and Kirby Struttmann (Shauna) of Pleasant Hill, Missouri; his sister Darlene Hiatte of Mexico, Missouri; his siblings-in-law, Joyce Schmidt (Robert) of New Florence, Missouri, Jim Schutt (Nancy) of Hermann and Ron Schutt of Hermann, Missouri; his grandchildren, Justin Thomas (Torie Olson), Brett Thomas (Hannah), Drew Thomas, Joseph Antonaccio and Cheyenne Struttmann-Smith (Brayden); and his great grandchildren, Porter Struttmann-Smith and Oliver Thomas.
Memorials may be given to St. Martin's Cemetery, Starkenburg.
