He was predeceased by: his parents, John M. Martin and Myrtle Martin (Weisbrod); his daughter Robin Martin; and his siblings, Helen Anthony, Juanita Layton, John W. Martin and Vest C. Martin.

He is survived by: his children, Troy Martin (Christy) of Jackson, Robert L. Martin II (Shannon) of Altenburg, Kimberly Rolens (Ron) of Frohna, Sherry Moore and Keane Franklin of Brewer; and his sister Imogene Blechle of Perryville. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren and one great grandchild.
