He was predeceased by: his parents, Ferdinand Edward and Emma L. Steffens (Koenig); his former wife Lorna G. Weber; his wife Ruby Koenig (Meyr); his son Tommy Steffens; and his siblings, Vera Noennig and Clinton Steffens.
He is survived by: his former wife Lorene R. Schuessler; his children, Bonnie Meyer (Clyde) of Arnold, Sarah Stueve (Donnie) of Frohna, Cary Steffens of St. Louis and Randolph Steffens (Diana) of Bonne Terre; his stepchildren, Thomas Clampitt (Gail) of Jackson, Terry Clampitt (Connie) of Marion and Kathy Osmus of Oklahoma City; and his siblings, Geraldine Kaufmann of Uniontown, Vernon Steffens (Betty) of Perryville, Kenneth Steffens (Lorna) of Frohna and Melbert Steffens (Sandy) of Imperial. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.
