He is survived by: his wife Cynthia Caples (Christeson); his children, Erik Caples (Michele), Kelly Caples Clubbs (Jerry), Kristen Schobey (David), Kristie Gearhart (Mo), Gayla Peters (Steve), Erica McMillin (Chris) and Phil Caples (Trisha); his grandchildren, Melanie Gerrish (Caleb), Marissa, Emily, Josie Caples, Alison Barlow (Jacob), Drew Berger (Erika Wampler), Lane Brown, Alissa Shoemake, Dalton Clubbs, Lexi, Landon, Liam Schobey, Arika Garrett, Waylon Gearhart, Madison, Gavin Peters, McKenna, Grant Frierdich, Kenah and Kylah Caples; his great grandchildren, Owen Barlow and Maci Tinsley; and his close friend Charlie Fenton.
