He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Andrew "Andy" Layne and Jean Frances Maeder Layne; and also, Robert and Betty Carnes. He is survived by: his wife Cindy M. Carnes-Layne; his daughters, Robin Layne of Laguna Niguel and Macy Layne; his grandsons, Andy and Colin Cronin; his siblings, Mark Layne (Cheryl), Jane Layne Karns (Jamie) and David Layne (Lori); his brother-in-law Kendall Carnes of Joplin; and his nieces and nephews, Anna Brock, Adam Layne, Austin Karns, Alex Karns, Lauren Layne, Spencer Layne, Payton Layne, Matt Hoagland and Sara Shelton. He is also survived by many aunts, cousins, great nieces and nephews.
