He was predeceased by: his parents, James Hays and Vivienne Hays; his former wife Tana Hays; his wife Robin Hays; and his sisters, Missy Brill, Cindy Sours and Deborah Harsh.
He is survived by: his children, Andrea Hilgenberg (Justin) of Joplin and Jonathan Hays (Denise); his brothers, Bill Hays (Annette) of Pine Ridge and Bob Hays (Connie) of Carl Junction; and his grandchildren, Henry and Atticus Hilgenberg. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
