She was predeceased by: her father William T. Patterson; her husband Jack Peters; her son Larry Peters; her granddaughter Kerri Price; and her siblings, Farrell Patterson, Robert Patterson and Kathleen Cupp.
She is survived by: her children, Darrell Peters (Melva) of Joplin and Carolyn "Susie" Peters of Joplin; her daughter-in-law Lois Peters of Tulsa, OK; her grandchildren, Brice Peters (Noreen) of Tulsa, OK, Christi Anguiano (Mike) of Mansfield, TX and Brian Price of Kansas City, MO; and her great grandchildren, Connor, Carson, Colin, Cooper Peters, Jacob, Ryan and Matthew Anguiano. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Irene's church, Fairview Baptist Church.
