He was predeceased by: his former wife Darlene Gunter (Weston); his parents, Van E. Gunter and Geneva K. Gunter; his sisters, Kathy L. Stover and Vickie L. Clements; his nephews, Artie Gunter and Jeffery L. Robertson; his half-brothers, Evertt Gunter and Michael Eschman; and his brother Morris D. Gunter.
He is survived by: his wife Rhonda Gunter (Tinsley); his stepdaughters, Amanda Ferruzzi and Katy Lawler; his brother-in-law Brad Tinsley; his children, Kimberly S. Henry and Van Steve Gunter, Jr.; his grandson Alex Gunter; and his siblings, Linda M. Lawson, Anita R. Gunter, Vanessa R. Edmond and Terrance E. Gunter. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Follis & Sons Chapel (700 Madison Plaza Dr, Fredericktown, MO 63645). A funeral service was held on Sunday, January 26th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
