He was predeceased by: his parents, Vester Kennedy and Cassie Kennedy (Farris); his great grandchild York Benjamin Hendrix; and his siblings, Cloyd, Jim, Lee, Dean Kennedy, Kay Jamber, Hilda Tibbs and Marie Head.
He is survived by: his wife Violet Kennedy; his children, Tom (Tammy Kennedy), Tim (Linda Kennedy), Phyllis (Larry Dettmer) and Kay (Cody Harper); his brother John Kennedy; and his grandchild Immeasurable Love.
