She was predeceased by: her parents, Edgar L. Hamblin Sr. and Margaret Hamblin (Settle); her husbands, Cecil Griffin Doty and Winslow M. Lowery; and her siblings, Robert E. Hamblin, Margaret Colleen Martin and Raymond Dewayne Hamblin.
She is survived by: her sons, Randall A. Doty (Pamela L. Ahlert) and Jeffrey A. Doty (Jill M. Hopmann); her stepchildren, Charles W. Lowery (Carole) and Sandra Allen (Kenneth); her sister Marilyn J. Stroup (David); her grandchildren, Benjamin P. Doty, Emily E. Doty, Molly M. Doty, Jacob A. Doty and Alexander M. Lowery; her children, Rory Shelton and Susan Klein-Shelton; and her grandchildren, Valerie C. Shelton and Luke Vetter.
