Sherman Floyd Starkey Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sherman Floyd Starkey (Fredericktown, Missouri), who passed away on March 22, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Dolph Starkey and Myrtle Mae Starkey (Cureton); his son Quint Starkey; his grandson Bradley Durham; and his siblings, Luke, Jack, James Starkey, Bonnie Stanfill and Phyllis Payne.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Starkey of Sedgewickville; his children, Lynnette Durham (Steve) of Fort Myers, Florida, Susan Montgomery of Sedgewickville, Tina Seymour of Waterloo, Illinois, Marca Starkey of Perryville and Matthew Starkey of Harrison, Nebraska; his daughter-in-law Laurie Starkey-Cobb of Sedgewickville; and his siblings, Bill Starkey (Sasha) of Fredericktown, Mona Sliger of Arnold, Audrey Starkey of Cape Girardeau and Marie Royal (Bob) of Marquand. He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren; twenty-nine great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Wilson Funeral Home (101 N Mine La Motte Ave, Fredericktown, MO 63645). A funeral service was held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
