She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Bowers and Lorna Jean Bowers (Gideon); her spouse Byron James Barber; and her brother Thomas Bowers. She is survived by: her children, James Lee Barber (Carla) of Perryville, Thomas Ray Barber of Fredericktown, Shannon Paul Barber (Shiloh) of Marble Hill, Missouri, Victoria Lynn Nast (Steve) of Belleville, Kelly Jean Graham (Terry Duffell) of Marquand and Penny Marie O'Brien (Vince) of Junction City, Missouri; her stepdaughters, Rebecca Cox of Collinsville, Illinois and Cheryl Myers of Collinsville, Illinois; and her siblings, Larry Bowers, Janet Allen of Paducah, Marilyn Whitesell of Bowling Green and Kathleen Bowers of Cahokia, Illinois. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
