He was predeceased by: his sibling Addlee Cruse (Lindell); and his parents, Earl Kauffman and Helen Kauffman. He is survived by: his wife Karen Kauffman; his daughter Elizabeth "Betsy" Kauffman; his brother Blaine Kauffman (Jennye); his nieces and nephews, Larry Cruse (Colleen), Jada Inman (Steve) and Scott Skaggs (Vicki); and his brother-in-law William Skaggs (Janell).
