He was predeceased by: his parents, Amon Joseph and Cella Jane Kennedy (Slinkard); his son Douglas Kennedy; and his brothers, Steve and Edward Kennedy.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Yancey; his son Rickey Kennedy of Fredericktown; his brother Wayne Kennedy (Sue) of Arcadia, Missouri; and his grandchildren, Tim Kennedy of Grand Prairie, Texas and Kim Hinkle of Handover, Pennsylvania. He is also survived by three great granddaughters; three great grandsons and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
