He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald Dean and Alice Darlene Francis (Cox); and his siblings, Robert Thompson, Thomas Nelson, Bonnie Thompson and Kathy O'Brien.
He is survived by: his children, Gerald "Jerry" Thompson Jr. of Fredericktown, Adam Armes (Mendy) of DeSoto and Mindi Wood (Ben) of Jackson, Missouri; and his siblings, Jay Francis of Fredericktown and Lola Thompson of Fredericktown. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Wilson Funeral Home (101 N Mine La Motte Ave, Fredericktown, MO 63645). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
