He was predeceased by: his daughter Michelle Burkart. He is survived by: his wife Connie Burkart (Abel); his children, Matthew Burkart (Anastasia Burkart), Tanya Norman (Todd), Kimberly Sweeney and Richard Abel (William Thurmond); his great grandchildren, Shiloh and Shadow; and his brothers-in-law, Greg Abel (Renee), Sonny Abel (Roben), Kevin Abel and Tom Abel (Kathy). He is also survived by extended family and many friends.
