He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Kerns and Bessie Kerns (Finley). He is survived by: his wife Linda Riney; his daughters, Jennifer Scholes (Gary) of Hannibal, MO and Jessica Kerns of Hannibal, MO; his siblings, Cecil "Herk" Kerns (Tammy) of New London, MO, Sandy Smallwood of Lawrenceville, IL and Karen White of Quincy, IL; and his grandsons, Tanner and Trevor Scholes of Hannibal, MO. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Due to the uprise of Covid cases in our area and for the safety of the family and community, the memorial gathering planned for Gary Kerns on Saturday, September 5, 2020, from 3:00 ~ 5:00 PM at Smith Funeral Home & Chapel has been postponed.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hannibal Band Boosters or Tri-County Alliance for Unmet Needs, in care of Smith Funeral Home & Chapel in Hannibal.
