It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sandra M. Schaefer of Forsyth, Missouri, who passed away on September 24, 2023, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Hugo Backes and MaryAnn Backes (Schepker); and her sister Maryanne. She is survived by: her granddaughter Jessica Courtney (Mark); her great grandchildren, Olivia, Adele, Jack and Eli of Kansas City; her grandchild Jesse Vogel (Rebecca); her great grandchildren, L. J., Anna, Audrey and Jacob of Mansfield, Texas; her granddaughter Josie Townsend (Grant); her great grandchildren, Leland, Levi and Lucy of Springfield; her grandchild Kelsey Woehr (Nevan); her great grandchild Bohen of Rich Fountain; and her siblings, Leon Backes (Linda) of Meta, Randy Backes (Debbie) of Taos, Doug Backes (BJ) of Westphalia, Brenda Sims (Tim) of Jefferson City and Jeff Backes (Sandy) of Eugene.
