He was predeceased by: his father Clarence A. Thurman. He is survived by: his mother Velma R. Thurman (Morey) of Forsyth; his brother Pat (Carolyn Thurman) of Forsyth; his son J. C. Thurman of Branson; his stepdaughters, Brenda Hayes Barrett of Memphis, TN and Bernadette Hayes Walker of Pevely, MO; and his grandchildren, Sarah Oliver, Leah Barrett, Trevor Walker and Faith Walker. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
