She was predeceased by: her parents, George N. Luke and Tillie E. Luke (Abbott); her husband LaVerne Bernard Burkitt; and her daughter Ellen Marie. She is survived by: her children, Russell Burkitt and Lori Burkitt; and her sister Janet Thomasson of Clever, MO. She is also survived by her five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
