He was predeceased by: his parents, Hazel Metcalf and Glenn C. Metcalf; his wife Deloris; his son Kenneth Metcalf; and his siblings, Glenn Metcalf and Caroline Linder.
He is survived by: his children, Kristi (John Scott) of Forsyth and David C. Metcalf of Austin, Texas; his grandchildren, Bridget (Scott Epps) of Forsyth, Chris (Jill Scott) of Ozark, Crystal (Buck Nofsinger) of Lee's Summit and Nathan Stroup of Jacksonville, Florida.; and his great grandchildren, Nicolas Epps, Ella, Jacob Scott, Scout and Sage Nofsinger.
