She was predeceased by: her father John Mersch; her nephew David; and her stepsibling Jackie King. She is survived by: her husband Kenneth Herbert Starke; her nieces, Michelle and Susie; her nephew Tommy; and her stepbrother Robert Mersch.

Memorials may be made in Gail's name to The St. Charles Humane Society.
