She was predeceased by: her parents, James C. Smith and Elizabeth J. Smith (Meade); her husband Kenneth H. Chaney; and her siblings, Everett Smith, Clyde Smith, Midge Graham, Wilda Galvin and Jessie Watkins.
She is survived by: her sons, Kenneth R. Chaney of Mound City and Paul D. Chaney of St. Joseph, Missouri. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
