She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Burgess and Laura Burgess (Marlowe). She is survived by: her husband Charles; her children, Steve Lawson (Claudia), Randy Lawson (Jeannie), Ron Lawson (Becky) and Brenda Collins (Mike); and her siblings, Janet Hicks, Loretta Preston, Helen Lawson and Tom Burgess. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
