He was predeceased by: his parent Delbert Rust; and his grandparents, Floyd Rust, Bertha Rust, Elmer Hutsell and Anna Hutsell.

He is survived by: his parent Louise Rust (Hutsell); his wife Lori; his sons, Jason Rust (Wendy) and Tyler Rust (Amber); his stepchildren, Lindsey Matney (Nathan), Ashley Hensley (Nathan) and Justin Essary; his brother Kent Rust (Tina); his stepmother Jean Rust; his stepsiblings, Wright (Michelle), Rachel Judd (Rick) and Kelly Speciale (Joe); his grandchildren, Evan, Claire, Sophie, Jude, Nolan, Lily, Kason, Annabelle, Emery, Simon, Abigail, Carson, Keaton, Randy, Riley, Preston, Callie and Hadley; his parents-in-law, Gary Warner and Sue Warner; and his aunts, Nina, June and Beulah. He is also survived by husband, father and paw-paw, and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
