He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Lawson and Nellie Lawson (Slack); and his brothers, Homer and Ivan Lawson. He is survived by: his wife Janice Lawson (Pogue); his children, Sandy (John Patterson) of Fordland, Cheryl (Eddie Christian) of Fordland and Joyce (Ozzie Greene) of Kansas City, Missouri; his grandchildren, Toni (Matt Owens), Jason Christian, Zachary Christian and JaDora Hood; his stepgrandchildren, Addison and Isaiah Greene; and his siblings, Ed, Kenneth, Wayne Lawson, Shirley Branstetter and Carol Kincaid. He is also survived by two great-grandchildren.
