He was predeceased by: his mother Emma Lou Bohannon; and his nephews, Michael McDowell and Lance Baker. He is survived by: his wife Holly A. Bohannon; his children, Jared Lee Bohannon, Kellene Bohannon (Lucas), Matthew D. Bohannon and Megan Denise Drummond (Andrew); his grandsons, Logan J. Rickman, Benjamin Lee and Mason Bradley Drummond; and his sisters, Debbie Bohannon and Donna Baker.
