She was predeceased by: her husband Robert "Bob" W. Leonard; her parents, Alva Waltz and Elizabeth Waltz (Nee Wells); and her siblings, Margaret Anne Sims, Tom Waltz, Gordon Waltz, Janet Harris, LaRetta Hoard and Ramon Waltz.

She is survived by: her daughters, Kathy Ernst (Robert) and Rebecca Farquhar (Paul); and her grandchildren, Zachary Ernst (Jordan), Dr. Adrienne Ernst (Nick Pernice), Elizabeth Farquhar and Caelyn Farquhar.

Visitation was held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Hutchens Mortuary & Cremation Center (675 Graham Rd, Florissant, MO 63031). A funeral service was held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 from 9:45 AM to 10:00 AM at the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery (2900 Sheridan Rd, St. Louis, MO 63125).
