She was predeceased by: her parents, Eugene Burmester and Marie Burmester. She is survived by: her significant other Benny Gordon; her sons, Christopher and Charles Hawkins (Brian); her grandchildren, Jeanessa Hawkins, Charles Russell (Chelsea), Alexis Hawkins (Josh Hamptiol), Tyler Washington, Charlize Hawkins, Carter Hawkins and Jett Hawkins; and her siblings, Donald Burmester (Michelle), Barbara Epps (Gary), Mark Burmester (Irma) and Donna Schafer. She is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Cathedral Basilica of St. Louis (4431 Lindell Blvd, St. Louis, MO 63108). A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 at 11:45 AM at the Resurrection Cemetery (6901 MacKenzie Rd, St. Louis, MO 63123).
