She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonard Preston-Wilson Rhine and Ruby Lee Rhine (Birdsong); and her son Rex Broaddus. She is survived by: her husband Samuel Mbugua; her sons, Timothy Abner, Jerry Broaddus and Rodney Broaddus; her siblings, Glen Rhine, Leonard Preston Rhine (Uncle Duke), Sherry McAnulty, Rosalee Rhine, Connie Sutten and Barbara Rhine; her grandchildren, Thomas Abner, Chelsey Abner, Clayton Broaddus and Blake Broaddus; and her great grandchildren, Emma Abner and Max Abner.
