He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Richard Ampleman and Mary Lou Ampleman; his wife Carol Vankirk; his child J. P. Ampleman (Emily); his stepchildren, Trisha Jones, James Boyd (Jess) and Samantha Vankirk (Isaac); his grandchildren, Ryan James, Madison Jayne, Brianna, Braedyn, Bishop, Maddy, Johnny, James Jr., Anna, Jace, Grace and Gavin; and his siblings, Rich Ampleman (Beth), Sue Moretti (Ernesto), Tom Ampleman (Chris), Dave Ampleman (Angela), John Ampleman (late Mary), Jane Lawler (Denny) and Chris Cattoor (Steve).
