He was predeceased by: his parents, John Francis and Mary Frances Reiter; and his grandson Joshua Chastain. He is survived by: his wife Teri Reiter; his children, Amber Brown (Marty), Stephanie Chastain (Stephen), John Reiter (Alex), Lori Reiter (Cody Phillips) and Jessica Hinkebein (Keith); his grandchildren, Cody Foster, Deshawn Foster, Lilly Chastain, Jasmyn Brown, Nick Chastain, Seth Chastain, Connor Flanagan, Faith Chastain, Jack Hinkebein, Carson Hinkebein, Rosa Lee Reiter and Rose Hinkebein; his siblings, Martha Ann Hass (Dan), Mark Reiter and Thomas Schob (Mary); and his sister-in-law Christine Honold.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hutchens Mortuary & Cremation Center (675 Graham Rd, Florissant, MO 63031). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at the same location.
Memorial donations in David's honor may be made to Saint Louis Children's Hospital.
