Dan Keating Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dan Keating (Florissant, Missouri), who passed away on January 23, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his sisters, Carol Martin (late Herb) and Mary Kay Vanwell (Rich); and his parents, Daniel J. Keating and Elvadine Keating (Nee Murphy). He is survived by: his wife Joan Keating (Nee Brett); his children, Jan, Rich Bardon, Kelly and Dave Sextro; his grandchildren, Betsy Angeli (Micah), Ryan Sextro (Sarah), Brett Bardon (Angie), Justin Sextro (Natalie), Maggie McAllister (Greg) and Lizzie; and his great grandchildren, Taylor, Gus, Helen, Bren and Cora.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Angela Merici Catholic Church (3860 N Hwy 67, Florissant, MO 63034). A Mass was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the Sacred Heart Cemetery (980 Graham Rd, Florissant, MO 63031).
To Honor Dan's dedication to SLU, donations may be made in his memory in lieu of flowers.
