He was predeceased by: his parents, Christopher West and Francene Griffith West; and his wife Della. He is survived by: his children, Gerry Jr. (Cynda) of Boonville, Nathan of Boonville and Sarah Hilton (Matt) of Springfield; his grandchildren, Lane of Boonville, Emma of Boonville, Kale West of Boonville, Della and Phoebe Hilton of Springfield; and his siblings, Chris West (Ginny) of Austin, Texas, Carl West (Diana) of Kearney, Sherry Blanton (Jim) of Carthage and Sandra Butler (Frank) of Ft. Wayne.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Red Cross, where Gerry frequently donated blood.
