He was predeceased by: his parents, Elton Hale and Gertie Simpkins (Hale); his wife Thea Hale (Miller); and his sister Patsy Grogan. He is survived by: his siblings, Donnie Wolford (Jane) of Sikeston, Jim Simpkins (Linda) of Louisville, Elton Hale of Forrest City, Arvella Brown (Charles) of East Prairie and Connie Moore (Jerry) of Festus; and his niece Vicky Dickerson (Mike) of Festus, Missouri..
